The Maurice R. Hilleman Essay Contest was started in 2019 to celebrate Dr. Hilleman’s 100th birthday and to ensure that his legacy is known. The annual contest provides students an opportunity to learn about Dr. Hilleman and compose an essay based on a writing prompt inspired by his remarkable life and work.
