HILLEMAN Screening and VEC/VMP Sessions at National Science Teachers Association Conference
The annual NSTA conference offers teachers current information and resources on content, teaching strategy, and educational research. This year’s conference held in Atlanta, GA included 4 exhibitor workshop sessions by the Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (VEC). Paul A. Offit, MD, Director of the VEC, offered a special session for attendees to ask their questions about vaccines and vaccine science. Three additional workshops were presented by VEC Asst. Director, Charlotte Moser. Two introduced teachers to the Vaccine Makers Project high school and middle school curriculum, and the third was a screening of the Hilleman documentary with information and resources for hosting a film screening.
