Hosted by the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases, The Annual Conference on Vaccine Research (ACVR) provides high-quality, current reports of scientific progress and best practices featured in both invited presentations and submitted oral abstracts and posters. The ACVR brings together the diverse disciplines involved in the research and development of vaccines and associated technologies for disease control through immunization. By drawing upon an international audience of scientists and researchers, healthcare professionals and trainees, veterinarians, vaccine manufacturers, and public health officials, the conference is designed to encourage the exchange of ideas across a broad range of disciplines.

The 2017 ACVR marked the 20th anniversary of the conference and featured a free public screening of HILLEMAN - A Perilous Quest to Save the World’s Children. After the film, Paul A. Offit, MD, Director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia answered audience questions.
