HILLEMAN Screening and Q&A with Dr. Paul Offit at NFID Fall 2017 Clinical Vaccinology Course
For more than fifty years, US healthcare professionals have administered billions of vaccine doses safely with few serious adverse events. The development of vaccines as a landmark scientific achievement began over two hundred years ago.
Hosted by the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases, the 2-day Clinical Vaccinology Courses focus on new developments and issues related to the use of vaccines. Expert faculty provide the latest information on vaccines, including updated recommendations for vaccinations across the lifespan, and innovative and practical strategies for ensuring timely and appropriate immunization. NFID hosted a screening of the Hilleman documentary followed by a Q&A session with Dr. Paul Offit, Director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia on Saturday, November 4, 2017 in conjunction with the course.
